Recently, Accelerate Evolution, a humanoid robotics company, announced the completion of a 100 million yuan Pre-A series round of financing. This round of financing is co-financed by Piwan Times, MinBank International, Zhongguancun Science City and iCANX Fund, followed by old shareholder Inno Angels, and the funds will be mainly used for general ontology building and upgrading software development capabilities.
It is understood that Accelerate Evolution was founded in 2023, and is committed to developing a more action-oriented humanoid robot ontology and an easy-to-develop operation and control development platform.
Cheng Hao, the founder and CEO of the company, graduated from Tsinghua University under the tutelage of Prof. Zhao Mingguo, and studied humanoid robots for many years during his studies, with rich experience in research and development. In addition, as a former executive of Byte, he also has experience in managing large-scale production and research teams and commercializing complex businesses.
The team has the industry's scarce R&D experience in biped/humanoid field, and its members have accumulated rich experience in operation and control algorithms and humanoid ontology. Based on this, the company was founded less than 3 months ago, and has already built a prototype of humanoid robot with self-developed configuration - using force-controlled joints and bipedal design, hoping to develop a humanoid robot that is "the most reliable, the most stable, and capable of accomplishing a lot of complex actions with sufficiently high precision".
Previously, Accelerate Evolution has completed three rounds of financing.
At present, Accelerated Evolution has developed a bipedal humanoid robot "Booster T1", which is 1.1m tall and weighs 29kg, and has demonstrated sufficient athletic ability and stability in the process of movement.
At this year's World Robot Conference, Accelerated Evolution demonstrated a number of robots playing soccer - the robot can not only perform push-ups, voice-controlled handball, soccer and other exciting performances, but also achieve continuous, stable operation for a long time.
Commercialization, the accelerated evolution has a humanoid robot commercialization orders, the year will be small batch mass production delivery, a new round of financing has also been officially launched.
